sorry, I put every pic I took w/o trashing the bad ones, couldn't bother.
So what's that? a failed attemp ( due to FS2 engine contraints, once again :doubt: ). Was supposed to be a ship for a new alien species, or for some terran outcast group. As you can guess, I was aiming at an industrial look, but FS2 complete heplessness in transparency handling ruined it all. anyway, have a look:

so what's wrong with it again? Looks good to me :p
(This wouldn't be another "drool but you'll never get to touch, ever!" OTT models, would it? ;) )

the transparancy maps are blocking some portions of the ship that should be visible thru the spars.
BTW, venom, VERY nice ship. ;)

Plus, there's damage particles flying from a point in space. But I like it. And I'll bet that something can fix that in SCP, no? Or have you just given up? Please don't.

that's the problem. No one seems to actually be DOING anything about the pathetic poly limits + bad texture effects + clipping in FS2.

there's not much I can do, that's up to the SCP guys. lots of things to fix.
and KT, no, it has nothing to do with OTT, I wanted to make a new species ( complete with a new fleet, but unusual ship classes ) that would have been available to public, but that's not possible, not that one at least.

Why so many? They have a significance, or they just there for cool value?

cool value. could have fluff to explain it ( just thinking about it I can see a couple reasons ), but really I haven't think about it.
lots of antenaes just make it look archaic

this is the second ship i've seen wit duke nukem textures... the other... wait.. this is the THIRD ship i've seen... the other 2 were from Inferno, the TSJ Icanus and that EA Destroyer.... the EAD Lindos i think... both had a texture that was originally a door on Duke Nukem 3D.
i'm so happy!!!!! ^^

That's bloody good, Venom! Any plans to release it? I'd like to see more stuff like this - everyone tends to focus on sleek, ultra-high-tech stuff rather than this kind of thing.

Seeing this last post, reminds me of FS1, with dogfights around an inactive installation (Ok, maybe it was Multi, but still).
How come no one makes missions where you are fighting the enemy in the middle of clutter? Or flying through the arcadia hole to evade being killed?

coz the AI is too dumb and would collide with stuff every 3 seconds.

mmh, accuracy is just a matter of maths. for exemple all sport games have a random failure factor or they'd be unbeatable ;)
