The rank Fenris comes after Myrmidon correct? Isnt that a degrade in rank since a Myrmidon with basic weapons (Subachs and Tempests) can destroy a Fenris much quicker than a Fenris can destroy a Myrmidon. I think they should be reversed or something. Just my 2c :doubt:

Default ranks are irrelevant, they're just a quick way to see who the Admins hate and/or ignore.
*shines title*
Mwuahaha.

Worse than talking about an irrelavent subject he's also wrong. The fenris wins every time

All done based on the size. Otherwise even an Apollo can take down a Fenris with a good pilot. Except if the Fenris has AAAs
-
what's such a big deal about form ranks?
it used to only be everybody was a member, or a member of a campaign.
-
So we should start with the Colossus and then end with what? The Ulysess?

But what if the fenris has a good gunner?

Then it wouldn't be Freespace 2.:D

Aren't turrets in FS2 automatic controlled? I mean not controlled by a gunner, some sort of Ai. Because it would always hit you if you were moving straight with the same speed without direction change.
Now here goes another crux: What if the Apollo has Phoenix V and destroys all turrets from a distance? We can collect reasons why would and Apollo or the Fenris win for millenas.
Theorically, basing on the TBL info, the Fenris has far more chance to win, but in-game experienced are showing anything else.
If we change the Fenris to Lev, these points will all have been gone, at least from my part, because I have no doubt a Lev would destroy a Myrmidon or an Apollo.

The question is irrelivent, but this is taking a human player into account. Give a Fenris and a Myrmadon the same AI level and let them go at it. A human may be able to produce a different outcome by dodging, or by taking out turrets, but even the most advanced AI in Freespace just shoots at its target.

The Captain Ai does the same damage to a Fenris like the General, because they don't evade anything, only flying straight and accuracy is completely mind in this case, how cannot somebody hit a Fenris?
