Hey all.
I've noticed that there is no central FS2 mod download site. Lots of guys doing lots of fantastic work, but... where does one get it? VolitionWatch archives and HLP archives don't seem to have anything recent. A good example of modelers coming together and sharing work is Polycount, a center for Quake 3 modders, at http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/ (//"http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/")  .Why doesn't everyone submit their work to a central server?

I think The Avenger's "The Mod Place" www.themodplace.com ("http://www.themodplace.com")  was supposed to be something to that effect, although he has recently had his link with the FS2 community severed..so I dunno what'll come of it.
But you're right, we need a site like that.

I'm working on updating some Freespace MODs with grammatically correct tech database descriptions. CP5670 and I are also making new briefing icons for the SI Arachnas and GVI Cairo installation MODs.

I'm going to contact the HLP staff about updating the MOD download section here at HLP. If I can, I'll contact the Freespace Archives as well.

MODs I've worked on include:

GTF Vesuvius by Aldo

GTB Peregrine by Aldo

GTCa Warlock by Aldo

GTI Scylla by Dark

GTI Acheron by Robin Varley

GVI Cairo by Bobboau

GTCv Phobos by Woomeister

SI Arachnas by Woomeister

Stay tuned for further developments.
