Title: Problem with FSopen

I have got a quite strange problem with FS_open.

The game is running quite good, but I have got two problems.

1) I can't switch between FS and the Mission editor fia ALT-TAB or anything else...what is quite bad when making missions.

2) The other problem is that when I close FS2 the entire PC crashes.
I use the exit button.

Weird.

I use Ctrl-Esc to switch between FS2 and other stuff - it minimises the game and opens the start menu, then click the tab at the bottom. Alt-Tab always used to crash FS, so I never use it.

Dunno what to do about that crash-on-exiting thing, though. Have you got the most recent build? It works fine for me. If you haven't, then find one of Phreak's posts, and use the link in his siggy.:)

Just DL FSopen 3.3 and it works better...problem is now that the older missions don't run. Get always a "Can't open"

Is there a way to fix that?

No not realy or exist an mission converter ?

I have trieded different versions of FS-Open (FS-Open 3.3, 3.5, R )
none of these worked correctly. Are there any know hardwareproblems that may cause these crashes?

Some versions don't allow some models, other do.
When I try to open a mission sometimes it crashes sometimes not...sometime the entire PC crashes.

My hardware:

AMD XP 1800+
512MB DDR
GF4MX
DX 9

Limitation of the way I wrote DX8 stuff, currently working on fix.

FreeTerran send me a regfix and now it seams to work. Don't know what he has in that thing but it seams to help.

I am also aware of this problems. The easiest way is to take a look at registry setting using your Launcher. Worked for me

delte all registry entries --> start the launcher choose options --> save --> done
