[color=66ff00]Might want to take a look at these rather remarkable pieces of work and perhaps contact the guy that made them: Whoa... (//forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?threadid=173228)
Polycounts are pretty high but it doesn't make the models any less splendid.

I tried to have a look at the pics, but based on the title of the files of the attachments, we all have them. Except the skyhopper, but we have no use it in a space sim, unless somebody could make planetary environment.
-
mm yes, they are nice looking, but... a bit high in pcount (many polys wasted in unuseful details), I suspect some intersecting polys, and more important they are not textured.
I can do a working lod0 for a fighter in 2-3 hours, more for capships, even more with all lods and subobjects, but what really take a lot of time are the maps.
btw thanks for the tip:)

The current polynumbers we are using are causing serious performance decreasings in the game, anyway. And what would be if we use those extreme high polycount models?
-
mhpf..:doubt:
1-what you have is only for internal use, and are not the models that will be in the conversion
2-what is causing slowdowns, more than pcount, is simply the absence of lods......
-
[color=66ff00]I know you guys have a lot of those models already built but I though you might get one or two useful ones out of it, if not for the model itself, for good reference.
Serves me right for not snooping around SWTC internal eh? ;)

lol, you probably shouldn't refer to it as the Star Wars Total Conversion, as for a second I thought you were talking about the Technical Commentaries.
-
maeg, you are free to surf the internal how much as you want:)
-
KARMA, what is mhpf?
-
I was simply little bothered since It was something I thought I already told you in the internal

[color=66ff00]Thanks for the offer but I like to be surprised with the stuff teams are working on.
