Hi!
I don't know if someone reported this but I tried FS Open 3.5 with localized version of Freespace 2 - Polish version that is. FS Open crashes on startup with screen saying that there's a problem with localization. If someone is interested I could set all the pop-up screens I've seen on web-page. Apart from FS Open mods for example Inferno (great job btw.) or Babylon 5 MOD (also: great!) do work fine. When used I hear Polish dialogue or I have the modded dialogs. Same with text - mixture of Polsih/English but no problems at all.

We've done no localization. So, any code that expects specific localization is likely going to crash.

Ok I know how to play under any localized version.
You must have english version of "root_fs2.vp" (can be found on http://lektor.metal.agh.edu.pl/~dacho/fs/pliki/root_en.zip ), next you have to change with "regedit" HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Volition\FreeSpace2 => Language from Polnish => English
That's all
You can check this on http://www.freespace.prv.pl/forum
Happy playing !

Hey, lcj. Nice to see you've come out of the woodwork at last. Welcome to HLP. :) As for the localisation, as Inq puts out, SCP hasn't done any formal localisation, unfortunately.
And welcome to you too, HermeZ. Two welcome beams for you guys. ;)

Is the polish community that big? Because few people in Hungary plays with FreeSpace nowadays so I find it surprising.
Setekh: If you want to fire two beams, it is essential to put a : at the end of both. :)

Note that Icculus.org does seem to work.
Please try 3.6 and see if it is any better. IIRC Taylor included this code during the linux merge.
