Ok, I have the need to vent my frustrations here.
When AA:O was first released, it was buggy, but still playable, and the people that stayed were very dedicated. Flash bangs were king in the indoor maps, and the players were all team players. Now, however, all we have are a bunch of ****iing faggots who couldn't find their own ass with both hands. You ask one question, no matter how simple, and you are GAURANTEED to get your ass cursed out, and called a n00b. And the ****ing new interface is ****! It's less user-****ing-freindly than Windows 3.1!
Ok, rant over.
-
what's AA:O? what PO means?
I'm gonnna talk with acronyms only now, I love to confuse people.
-
America's Army: Operations. Pissed Off.
-
ah, ok, thanks for the clarification :)
-
Lol. Well, anyways, the AA:O community has gone to the dogs, in my opinion.
-
I'm so pissed off at it, I can't think of anything else, lol. Seriously, I LOVE YOU GUYS here at HLP, the land where someone can ask a question and not get flamed
-
Actually, it's been getting kinda wierd here too, what with goat porn on the regular forums and all...
-
Seriously bad luck at ArmyOps there, UT. Where do you play most of the time?
-
Windows 3.1 had a pretty good interface...
Anyway, ****heads always take over multiplayer. Law of physics, that is.
-
I use the in-game server browser. And the official AA:O forums are a big stinkin' pile o' ****.
-
Also, how did you come to expect that this, unlike other Army-related things, wouldn't become the domain of the loudmouthed insecure twits suffering from testosterone poisoning? Most of the military fans in general have major issues, you expected it to be different in a game, a format which generally attracts those with misplaced aggression and personality dysfunctions in the first place?
-
Well, it was pretty good at first :doubt:
-
It usually is, afore the 'tards reach critical mass.
Now stop before I start reminiscing about the golden age of Earth 2150... once we go there it'll be something we'll all regret.;)
-
I don't have testosterone issues. :(
Well, I can't really say much about the guys you play with. Helps if you know a good pack of buddies to hang 'round.
-
Hey, I liked Windows 3.11 :p
-
Did I say everyone has 'em? No.
As did I.

No offense, but what are you expecting out of a well planned piece of propiganda? :)
-
And you're imagining 90% of the information that comes out of the government, corporations, or indeed anyone else is... what, exactly? We're living in a propoganda age, bull**** is the medium for everything.
-
Well, at least now it's like the real army.
I'd love to see you join the Marines and go "So, how do I shoot this thing?". They would shoot you in the goddamn face and tear-gas your corpse.

[color=66ff00]Read this (www.somethingawful.com/articles.php?a=395), it's not the same game but enough parrallels exist to make it useful. The part you'd be most interested in is the kind of players you'll be facing...

What more can you expect from an interactive recruiting poster?

*appropriates CounterStrike*
-
I know about counterstrike. It used to be hated, and now it's idolized by the community
-
Don't worry UT, things will change.
I still vehemently despise it.
