Title: HLP appreciation thread...

I've tried branching out into other communities lately (America's Army (again), Unreal Tournament, etc) and NONE of them have the maturity level shown here at HLP. Seriously, most are either over-moderated or completely devoid of intelligence!
Now, see, at HLP, we have people doing other people favors. I can put a thread out, asking fooor, say, the latest stats on baseball. And you know what? Someone will give them to me, eventually! Isn't that amazing!? On other forums, nooooo, I ask something, and it's SUCH A ****ING CHORE to do it!

Hell, I guess you REALLY have to be dedicated to play a game like Freespace 2 still, and it's lucky for us that most of that dedication comes into play in every other aspect of HLP.

Anyway, yeah, this board pwnz, although some of the newbies from the newbie influx (no names) are kind of immature, this board still rates higher than anywhere else I've visited so far. :)

Anyway, if I went to other forums and stuff, I'd never leave the 'puter except to go to work and sleep - I spend far too much time here as it is!;)

Anyway, Unknown Target, I've got to agree with you. I belong to plenty of communities and in terms of maturity and responsiveness, this has gotta be the best I've seen.

I think it may be because no one is going out to get FS2 like they would for FreeLancer or something :doubt:.

I just bought HL and I'm regretting it already. The game is good no doubt about it. But the community is childish, n00bish, immature, stupid, inconsiderate and above all moronic. Did I mention it was childish and immature?

*Note: Thos does not go for all players but the most of them should have the above characteristics written on their forheads.

In this case I'm glad those pricks hate ST and find it wuss (While its actually the same as other FPS games and it has the Q3 engine :p) and won't even try the game :D

P.S: Elite Force has a great Single Player campaign. Especially for an FPS. They even have another single player FPS campaign for d/l ;)

btw, can someome help me get AA 1.9? i just can't seem to get a reliable server for it?

It generally helps to stay off the official servers + use the fan's servers.
