After a VERY long stint away from hlp due to exams, holiday and work, im back!!! for the forseeable future anyway.
So its about time i got cracking on my old projects
The realization project seemed to hav a fair bit of support for the idea, now its time to put it into practise properly.
For those who dont no, the idea was to make more realistic textures and models for use in renders and cutscenes.
So if anyone has any material which they are willing to share i would love to hear from you. whether you've made real bump maps for a ship (not just used the texture in greyscale) or built a hi detail version of a ship, let me no.

unfortuanatly i appear to hav lost some of my original work when my harddrive died a while back, but i shall see if i can find them anywhere or redo them

I'd like to see some ships with cockpit's, a la' Venom's Valkryie.

yeah thats another thing i once started. I started a borengis (or however its spelt) with a glass canopy and a 2 man cockpit. started ok, but then got left before the exams

I'm doing a perseus, using a cockpit I stole + modified from Macross VO :D

i thought the Realization thing was to give hosting to people, like art galleries!
and did you use Dreamweaver to make your page (or parts of it)?

yup killmenow and USS Alexander hav galleries there, let me know if you want one
and did you use Dreamweaver to make your page (or parts of it)?
I sure did, kinda obvious if you look at the source because most of the java script functions have the MM_ prefix also my nice easy to insert flash buttons! i was thinkin over some ideas for a new design, so it mite change a bit.

hmmm, ive never looked at he scp much, all the topics are so big and complicated! but i'll give it a look

ok ive hav a little look. holy ****ing ****, they've put speculars in!!! well im pretty sure i cud start making specular maps for ships, i already hav bump maps for a few. these are better than just using the original textures im guessing, because the origianls already hav shadows and girme baked on.
question? how do i update the pof's to point to a new specular map?

The way I understand it you don't edit the pof. You simply make a new map like with glowmaps.

yeah but i didn't even look at the source. don't you think i'm good? :D :D :D :D :D. i was looking at those flash buttons, and i thought i remembered seeing them in Dreamweavera long time ago :)

I'm working on Shine Maps now. I have all the FS1 and FS2 bombers done, and most of the FS2 fighters. I'm looking for a stable, functional shine EXE to test them in.
