Title: For Old Times Sake...
Post by: Fineus on August 16, 2003, 07:47:25 pm: I don't know what possesed me, but I decided to take some of Greg Martins tutorials and do what I could to get back into the habit of rendering. Everything in the attached file was done by hand (so to speak) except the engine glows on the Typhon which were rendered in Axion. The result? Well, let me know what you think...

Overall: Anyone who renders a Typhon or a Seth is good in my book. :D :yes:

The only slight niggle I have is that the front of the typhon is completely black - a few lights, either from windows or just running lights on the hull would be very cool.

Post by: Fineus on August 17, 2003, 08:07:34 am: A drawing pad - think of it as a digital sheet of paper, you use an electronic pen (thats shaped like a normal one) and a program like Photoshop can pick up pressure etc and put it directly into the program. Makes it a lot easier to draw things than by hand then scanning since these often have marks etc. that look poor.

Glad everyone likes the picture - it was indeed done using that tutorial - more or less to the letter - but I'm trying different things as I go along, it's all a big experiment at the moment.
