...more specifically the choose pilot interface.
i've got my own pic for the low resolution and freespace won't seem to use it at all. it just keeps using the standard fs2 one.
fs2 won't even use fsports choosepilot interface screen.
and before you say anything it already is 8-bit colour

Make sure you have it in the interface folder and make sure you have named it right.

OK, we are through it is 8-bit(is it the same as 256 color? I guess yes :D). Is it a PCX image of maximum I think 160x160 resolution?
If you are using FS_open, make sure that normal FS doesn't see it as well as the open version.

Ok pcx but why the hell 160x160 ? it must be 1024x768 or 640x480 !

done that, just extracted the original and saved over it so no bugs there
i tried fs2_open355 and it don't work with that, either mine or fsport's. also i've got a whole load of other interface screens and it works fine for them, just choosepilot and pxhelp it don't work

Screen B-FS1 Style (http://www.angelfire.com/scifi2/minidwarf/ChoosePilot-new.pcx) -You'll need to rename it to get this ingame
and
Other Screen (http://www.angelfire.com/scifi2/minidwarf/PXHelp.PCX) -press f1 when your flying a fighter i think

Hmm both Choose Pilot Screen versions work for me.
