Major setback on the FS1-FS2 port, guys. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)
Everything was working fine with new ships, weapons, and missions, but now -suddenly- I can't enter a mission or customize my loadout. The mission loads OK, the briefing is fine, but FS2 freezes when I hit Commit or Ship Selection. However, it works fine if it's a Red Alert mission! Obviously the game is reading the tables because all the new stuff IS THERE. When FS2 freezes, I can still operate in the background using the keyboard, and restart like that. On a related note, I kept having a Knossos in my FRED2 player loadout list. I ended up deleting 3 unnessecary ships for it to go away, but I still can't access most of my missions. FRED2 works just fine, and can't find ny errors in the missions themselves. This is probably a (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/v.gif) source problem. Can anybody help me?

model & texture errors only show after you have commited to the mission.
Any problems with the models?

No, that's just it. The models and textures etc. work just fine. I just can't commit to a mission where I can customize my loadout. I'm gonna try reinstalling FS2 tonight, maybe that'll help.
BTW, system specs are:
PIII 450 Mhz
96 M RAM
24x DVD ROM
Voodoo 3

If you don't have a ship loadout .pcx (correct and present) i think it will crash...?

I have the ship loadout PCX in both sizes (lo and hi res) as well as shield anis, everything... it was working perfectly. This problem is just a recent development.

Well, check this, try creating a new pilot and see if it crashes with him.
It mainly works when you've changed the table entries (like how if you try to tech-database go to the weapons info list, it'll crash on a pilot that wasn't created there.)

Problem solved. I don't know how, but it's OK now.
Reinstalled FS2 and integrated the MOD, cut the tables down to size, and it works fine.
I'm relieved that it works, but just a little concerned about a mod spontaneously corrupting the game. Any way similar problems, or any way around it?
