tga files? plus the links are broken in the first place

Would this happen to be the construction ship for my campaign? I've begun work on chapter 4, it would a large amount of civilian ships are needed.
-
What the freaky guy said.. sounds lightly armed for being bigger than the Colossus though.
-
Shrike's a popular ship name, eh?
Tons and tons of repetitive tiling... and it helps o put a ".com" on the end of www.cold-space:nod:
-
kinda heavily armed for a construction ship ain't it?
-
There - added new screenshots (jpg) and fixed the links!
-
I thought you have done the construction ships(tugs) we can see in the Colossus movie when I saw the title of this thread. You know, those small yellow minitugs who are constructing the Colossus in the movie.
The models looks HUGE, can you give us more pics when we can see the whole ship, not only its parts?
Otherwise your models looks conviencing.

Looks good :)

I like the concept (Homeworld-y), but the model could use a bunch of large-scale greebling along its length to help break up the texture repetition.
-
I'm tempted to make my take on a GTVA mobile shipyard, but I like the idea. The ship itself seems a little bland, especially considering that has to be a solid 6km of solid, unbroken tiling and that the polycount is either completely hidden or extremely low. Add some asymmetric features or something, or some bumps on top and sides to at least break that space. However, the Orion docking bay is extremely cool, and working with that idea has a lot of potential. My biggest question: exactly why is it so big?
EDIT: Exactly what Sandwich said :p
-
Why is it so big?
It is designed to build destroyer-sized vessels and repeair even bigger ones. It allso carrys tons of material and supplies.
I like to keep the polycount low.
But you must admit - it looks imposing!
-
Wow. Something in Freespace that actually LOOKS big. :D

Bah - take away the Orion and it'd look like a kilometer-long sub sandwich.

"Looks", dude - they just don't look 6km. :p
-
GTCo Integrity Class sounds cool but lets give this one a name...
Hmm... Let's designate the ship as GTCo Architect or Fabricator.

True. But I'm sure you're not complaining about klick-long Sandwiches, are you? ;7

Complaining, no. But what was the Death Star but a massively overgrown hamburger bun bloated into a spherical shape with Tarkin's pride? ;)
-
It was Tarkin's left spacenut...
-
the model looks pretty "solid", sort of like the civilian-like ship: all bets on practical stuff.
bit "boring though".
give it a bit of the looks that there is actually worked with the ship, make dents, make it look dirtier, perhaps even a few docking "poles" for cruisers and such to repair and refit.
also: valhalla would be an apropriate name too :)
-
Can't name it Valhalla. Thor would kill you, it's the name of the ship his entire campaign in centerred around.
-
Phoebus: Apollo was the god of Colonization (among other things) and one of his alternate names was Phoebus.
Cool beans?

Yes I would.:hopping:
Interesting ship, by the way.
-
*pushes thor out of the way*
erm, ok, how should i know.
now erm, what is a suitable name for something that's big and builds other big ships?
-
*Brushes self off, kicks Havoc, and ponders*:p
How 'bout the GTVCon Big Arsed Builder?
No
Atlas - Big guy
Portsmouth - Famous British Port
Assembler - Puts stuff together
Divinity - God is the creator of everything
EDIT: oh, and you should know by looking at my sig. *points at Into the Halls of VALHALLA*

*gives towel*
*blocks kick*
*does jiu jitsu leg-turn-throw-break action on thor's "kick"*
"hive" would be an appropriate name too, though it wouldn't fit in GT- naming.

I think Integrity is just fine.
