Title: For those of us with Bittorent file sharing.....

Someone put on a 2 Cd ISO of Freespace 2 at //www.suprnova.com. In theory anyway. Since I'm stuck with dial-up for at least a month, I won't be downloading it until I get back to the university. Because of that I'm not sure if it is what it says it is. If it's anything like what I've gotten off of there before, it should be alright. Check it out, though it's over 1GB in size......

How can that be? FS2 is 3 CDs.

That is true, but only Disks 2 and 3 are used for play.....

I downloaded this and the CD3 torrent that was also posted.
Unfortunately, the CD1 iso is corrupted; sparky_fs2.vp is garbage. Obviously I can't play the game without it. I downloaded the HOTU rip, but it doesn't have a real sparky, just a dummy. I was hoping that since sparky's relatively small (~40mb zipped), I could prevail on someone to send it to me...?

There are all important files included (maps, models, hud and inface for 640x480 & effects)

My experiences with a version of FS2 I got from BT:

Downloading went without a problem
Installing went without a problem
Setup went without a problem
After that, it went downhill. The game simply crashed every time I tried to start it up. In the end I got the HotU rip, which works just fine, and used the .vps from my BT version so all that downloading wasn't totally wasted :)

If anyone's interested, these are the BT files I got (from Suprnova):

Freespace 2 (2 disc ISO) 1288 Mb
Freespace 2 (cd3 nero image) 673 Mb
