You may or may not have noticed I've taken a long leave of absence from the coding project, though I've been as interested as ever. This has been a result of having to finish my game for my Software Design course (of which I believe a screenshot made it in here when I was talking about particle explosions).

Anyway, now a little wiser, a little more coding experienced and longing to be doing more programming (I wouldn't have seen it coming myself) I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of the nearest FS2 wish-list ?

P.S. For those who don't remember, I'm the guy who sprung DX8 on us one day. Now accepting all flames for that!

hardware T&L is the big wish right now, a number of other things are waiting for that so if you get that done you're name will be truely legondary, talk to RT as he has some T&L stuff done aparently

16bit color support for the menu's ;7 the odd 8bit sucks

no 24, and it's the file loading that is the problem, everything after that is in ether 16 or 32 bit color

Different turret positions other than straight up or down. and of course allowing them to shoot and target correctly. Allow the Ai to use volly fire correctly also.

How about 24bit support of backgrounds. I think everyone will agree that  by today's standard all the pixelaltion and loss of quality is pretty shoddy..

the particle system is old, it's that same thing that's been in there sence FS1, the only thing I did was add an emitter to the thruster glows

Ok let me just clarify for the benefit of RT : I didn't develop the DX8 port, but I was the one who suddenly merged it into the CVS and its a tribute to RandomTiger's skills that it worked as well as it did.

Technically I have some code lying around that allows DX8 to load in 32 bit tga's into freespace but its a pain in the ass to sort out because of the way the texture system works.
