Title: New Mustang GT Model...help?
Post by: Max Sterling on September 10, 2003, 02:55:59 pm
Hi,

I talked this nice guy on the web into giving me a copy of his excellent new Ford Mustang model... but his obj conversion is a little messed up. I think it just needs the poly's resided or something... can anyone help fix it up and put a nice UV texture map on it for me to modify pleaase? Venom? anyone?

Here's kind of what it should look like. Thanks.

Now if you could only get one of the Mistubishi FTO, or GTO... ;)

Ugh.... 24000+ poly's and Lord only knows what way half of them are facing. Even Lightwave couldn't orient the damn things right :(
Sorry Max, can you get it in any other format, such as Lightwave or 3DS?

As a sort of consolation prize, I DO have a program that ignores poly orientation, and allows 'computed' materials (i.e no uv-maps). Alas, it can only import, not export models So......

Ooooohhh! ;)

The background needs work, but hey, it only took 30 mins or so ;)

Flipside :D

Edit : I can't help but pause to wonder why your friend spent so much loving care on the body and then made 10 sided wheels?
