Would it be difficult to add things like shockwave or ambient sound settings to subsystems?
The shockwave would be great for things like large turrets or cargopods with explosive contents etc, and the ambient sounds mean that the Engines would make engine noise, but other parts of the ship could make different noises?

Sensors could have a ping! sound.

The weapons subsys could have the sound of a gun being cocked :D

You could have sounds like 'Red Alart' Klaxons and PA's when you are within range of the Hangar etc, it you made the range of the sound quite small, it would add a whole new depth to flying past big ships in FS2 :)

Now, what'd be really clever is for rotating turrets to have a 'dormant' and 'active' sound ;) hehe

Yes.... the rotating sound.. and the charge-up sound of large turrets before fireing
