I find FS2 guilty of claiming beams were first seen in it!

The Lucifer could have had beams... Maybe even the Teranis.

The Lucifer didn't use beams either... It was like a big dumbfire missile with a long tail, but a primary weapon...

As far as I'm concerned it's useless tbl code. V most likely were workin on beams but gave up and just left that in the table.

The FS2 table enteries just make FRED crash, so there was probably another whole format for them...
