Is there a process to this that you can jot down? I don't really have time to do anything just yet but I could probably try something later on...

how about lightning nebula?

Make a slowly swirling nebula .ani wthe flashes of lightning periodicaly.

If you mean about putting it in FS2 just add a bitmap to the stars .tbl and if FS doesnent find a .pcx it will losd an .ani of the same name

try making rotating planets, or just a passing meteor, or a smiley that pop's up every 15min or something, or perhaps a yeti.

the last two could be campaign easter eggs, and you could make contests for each campaign to "shoot the yeti"

i found the wav of the original "Let it snow" so i thought id use scp to make it come from a cargo container far off as an easter egg.

I'd rather put in a hidden cargo depot full of Bosch Beer cargo containers in-game and not as an ani.

One of the biggest problems with doing animated Nebula is the 256 colour limit. I have to convert down to Greyscale and then layer a colour over BW image, it can ruin the effect sometimes.....

I'm really hoping this can be fixed in some way in the SCP soon :D

Convert the frames into 256 colors using bright.

I'll give it a go, photoshop certainly has NO clue what it is doing!

Flipside :D

EDIT : Ok, updated with Bright, the colour is much better, but the weakness still shows slightly. Ah well, it does with the [V] renders as well :)
