I tend to do a campaign for Starcraft. I am an experienced level editor(not in one game), but I am curious if there are misc programs with which, I can edit unit properties in general.(speed, weapon type, weapon range, special abilities to use etc etc.)

search for a thread a few months ago or less by Deep_eyes, the title was something like "Starcraft Modding Thread" or something like that. we mentioned all the tools you need to do what, and where to find them,e tc. :)

It is the forth time I have to realize that:
looking around is killing many stupid questions. :)

Do a google for Starcraft unit editing or something. There are plenty of tuts and the like around. But don't expect an awful lot of help from the SC community. The FS community is pretty much modding based, the SC community is almost entirely multiplayer based, so the expertise you find here isn't present there.
Don't get me wrong, they're a pretty good bunch, with minimal flaming and the like. They're just not as experienced as we are :)

Starcraft engine is probably less handleable than FS2 ...
or it has far higher value in multiplayer than FS2's PXO.
-
Bit of both I think.

I have read throught all threads found under 'starcraft'. But I have seen only results, and if there were links present, they were obstacle.
Can somebody give me a link for StarDraft?
Of course if it is free ;)

I thought it was camsys.org no?

camsys.org doesn't exist. :(
