Hi all I know I've asked about som of these things before but I need them for my TC. I can't give out the hole story/Idea but I can give a short list of things that need the source cod to be dune.
Here gos:
1. Beam weapon wave efffect, if you don't know what I mean I'll tell you, I have a weapon that needs the beam to bend quite a bit to look like a new type of weapon, but still hits the target. IE thats my lighting gun.
2. AI: I would like to have the AI doge weapons fire, and no I don't mean boost to move faster, but a combo of that and rollovers, or mabe a few real dogfighting combat moves.
3.Support for side mounted turrets. My mod has some elements of realism in it as turrets that rotate on the sides of ships.
4.Ability to target and track/lockon missiles to three targets at the same time.
5.If it can be dune I would like a more robust color system. As in more felxible colors for lasers to use two colors like a green yellow core, and a dark green outer glow.
6.engene glows that can be seen from the front of ships, IE as you see the ship aproch the glow from it's engenes can be seen.
7. Last but not least a new subsystem, one called a battle plate. These are mounted on ships as big armored shields for ships without real sheild tech. Heres how it works, a fighter/bomber can target the battle plate, then blow it up, exposing the lighter armor under it without damageing the capship as a hole. when it's gone the ship is then open to attack, IE this would work for turrets too. the Battle plates when distroyed would blow off the ship as debries, for added effects.

This doesn't need any source code adjustments. You could already create this effect using sub-objects and SEXPs :nod:.
As for your other requests, I wouldn't hold your breath my friend

you will probably need to recruit yourself a programmer, so you can season to taste.

So make yourself a PCX image with a yellow core and a green glow...

Thanks for the critics all I have been working on this for a year now and I only got a small amount of this mod dune I have some weapons, but they need ships to ballance em out lol I got my work cut out for me I'd say.
As for aother things do you think a Gunship and I mean a fast gunship with like 2-3 turrets, and a fixed Quad rapidfire laser gun would work for a new type of craft? I was thinking it could work if I set it to use the Bomber AI, But all the other ships like that I've seen have probs. They don't use Beams mind you.
