Believe me, Windows 98 is a million times better than Windows 95.:ick

Which one doesn't?
Anyway, 98 never freezes on installing or startup.

Yes it does. I've seen it happen.

Yep me too. It used to freeze up if I attempted to install it when I had more than one hard drive connected every time I tried it.
-
I have never seen either of them freeze on installation. Maybe there's just something wrong with your computer. :p
-
I had it happen with two different machines. They both worked fine with ME and XP (well I've only tried XP with one of them).
-
XP is still windows (has all kinds of problems) but it's infinitely better than 98 and Me. I've probably seen the ScanDisk screen 2 or 3 times since I've upgraded to XP, and I saw it every other day with Me.
-
a friend of mine has had bluescreens during install on every version of windows after 3.11...
-
Damn me for quoting things... damn me to hell.

if i put my mind to it, i can make almost anything computerised lock up... i did it to a calculator once.. poor thing never knew what hit it..
and yes, i am being serious here, i had to take the batteries out of it just to get it working again:p

I had something similar happen to me, it started counting down from 99999999 at a phenomenal speed. I thought it was going to explode or something.
