Just wondering if anyone has any ideas about this problem I've got. I picked up Jedi Knight 3 last night, but I can't get the damned thing to install, it just gets to a certain percent (never the same, I've hit 67%, and as low as 6%) and it just stalls. The CD Rom sounds like it's accessing, only intermitantly, but it never goes anywhere. I've tried installing on different drives, updated IKernel, rebooted a few times, and I'm at a loss. Sadly the product site has no info, not even a forum :(
Any ideas?

Same thing happened to me with Starlancer, I finally just gave up.

Yea only I don't want to merely give up on $40]
Why the hell the product page doesn't have a forum I'll never understand

Starlancer was only five bucks for me, maybe cleaning the cds? And make sure you don't run anything while installing.
I don't know what to say, I hate it when games do that.

If you're within 1 week of purchase (I can only guess how much time this is in your country) you can have the CDs replaced if they won't work on the shop's computer.

uhh corrupt CD go throw it in the sale guy's face and demand money back or a new copy

You can;t burn an image onto the HD and use that, can you? (stabs intermittently in the dark)

Sorry guys was sent out of town for work (again)
Anyways it turns out the problem was my CD/RW,...I took my old 32x and installed it,..the game ran through it's installation without one single flaw.
Never would have figured that since I've run other programs off the CD/RW lately without any problems.

If the CD is corrupt, then the image would also be corrupt.
