I've just been browsing the IMDb (//www.imdb.co.uk) at college, and I've discovered that it has games on it, as well as films. This in mind, I looked for FS, and lo and behold, found it.
http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0289708/
So there you have it, I always thought Kurtwood Smith was Bosch.
And if this has been brought up before, forgive me.
-
Petrach was in Independence Day!
Bosch was in Total Recall, Robocop and Beverly Hills Cop 2!
Snipes was in...The Sex Monster!
-
they have the red factions too. shrike from RF2 was one of the agents in "the one" (that film with jet li beating himself up).

:nervous: That was a long time ago! And I was trying to pay for colleges...:shaking: They said it'd never get out!

I have seen this movie and would like to comment on it
Found on under the comments.
[EDIT]Man, have those voice guys done allot of work.
You'd think most of the voice work would have been done by nobody's.
-
FS2 was ahead of its time in many ways. Now it's all the rage to do voice acting for games. Look at the cast list for GTA Vice City for instance.
Besides Wing Commander had already got Mark Hamil to do some work for them so they had to beat that :D
-
Bosche was in Total Recall?! Was it Cohagen? Who did he play as?
-
more importantly, Snipes was in Half Baked
-
"Snipes", aka Stephen Baldwin, has actually been in a lot of stuff. The Usual Suspects was probably one of the best, but the list is pretty long. I knew Petrarch was in Independence Day (and Big as well as several others, though those are the two that I can remember offhand) but I never placed either Bosch or The colossus guy.
Also, speaking of Freespace being more widely known than most people give it credit for, does anyone ever visit the Relic boards? There was a post about a HW2->FS2 total conversion, and several people actually seemed interested. Many of those people loved FS back in the day, and would probably be interested to know it's still hanging around.
And DS9'r, he was Cohagan, it says so right next to the listing of the movie.

:wtf: Snipes is a baldwin? I thought the Baldwin was the Colossus cutscene guy...
-
Robert Loggia .... Adm. Petrarch (voice)
Ronny Cox .... Adm. Aken Bosch (voice)
Kurtwood Smith .... Colossus Scene Voiceover (voice)
Stephen Baldwin .... Lt. Cmdr. Christopher Snipes (voice)
Mike Trippiedi .... Additional Voices
Nope.
-
Err yeah.. I know what it says, but I also remember reading on interview on VW I think it was, were the guy that played Snipes was some dude from Idaho or summat. Kinda weird at that...

Stephen baldwin did the intro cutscene for sure. I knew that from the beginning when I played FS2 for the first time. I didn´t realize that he also did the voice for Cmdr. Snipes as well. Goddamn, Snipes didn´t sound at all like Stephen Baldwin to me!
But I did recognize everyone else. Kurtwood Smith does the voice of the in-game Colossus cutscene; he played Neil´s father in the Robin Williams flick Dead Poets Society as well as badguy Clarence in Robocop 1 (not to mention a bunch of other stuff in both TV and movies).
Ronny Cox played Bosch in FS2 and also was in Robocop as the main badguy as well as a bunch of other stuff. Can you believe that he and Ned Beatty were both child actors at the same time?
Robert Loggia played Petrarch in FS2 and (as everyone knows) also the general in Independence day. ´Nuff said.
Mike Trippiedi: don´t know him from Adam, but if he did all the other voices in FS2, including the female voice...
...I don´t wanna think about it. :shaking:

I thought Snipes was voiced by somebody at Volition.
-

Huh, looks like I was right after all about Steve Baldwin not voicing Snipes....
...KT, what is it with you and Kirsten Dunst, anyway?
Forget Kirsten, I´d rather have Keira Knightley (the chick from "Pirates of the Carribean"). So what if she´s just 18? :D

Quite right, KT, "Tellurian" is a word form the World of Darkness role-playing games from White Wolf (Werewolf: the Apocalypse and Mage: the Ascension). Basically, "Tellurian" translates as "the whole of reality."

Steak, so far as I know, Stephen Baldwin ONLY did the intro for FS2. I didn´t recognize his voice anywhere else in all of FS2 and I would have noticed if it did appear somewhere else in FS2. His voice is pretty distinctive.
-
A Tellurian is also a native of Tellus which is an alternate name that E.E. "Doc" Smith used for Earth in the Lensmen series.

The Intro Guy kinda sounds like marlon brando
Snipes is a much clearer speaker then the Intro Guy
-
snipes is not stephen baldwin.
we already deduced that.
