Well, I am not a poet, so read it while keeping in mind that I am not the poet of future generation. But I have written something yesterday night. I want some of you to have a look at it.
Who bumped this thread?
It was no londer a threat
Because the topic was sunk,
and the poster was drunk.
Many of us flame the bumping member,
And say: ('Do not post more here, remember!')
Here is now a focal point to flame
because there is somebody to blame.
Poor flamed guy is running
but the others are still stunning
Do not chase that bloke,
it wanted to be a joke!
The thread is on the top now,
The patience of the admins are down.
They are clicking on the 'close' button,
so the thread may get back to the bottom.
-
Now that is funny. Kudos!
Now do one about me, I dare ya :drevil:
-
No more posts? :doubt:
I will try to do something similiar about admins ;)
-
Lol, hadn't noticed it; Funny stuff. :D
-
Am I allowed to do something about admins, too? ;)
-
good stuff
of course you can do it

Sure, as long as we like it. ;)

I do have one question Mr Ace. How come you can write a perfectly good and even amusing poem when the english in your posts is still somewhat wonky?
Don't get me wrong, I can't speak a word of Hungarian so I'm not criticising. But I am somewhat confused...
-
's a good point. You been practising, TopAce? I like that a lot!
-
Diamondgeezer, my friend: I know that my English is not good, but I could have written it better, but I stuck to keep the rhymes. :).
the AABBCC formula rules
pyro: Practising what?
-
OK, this is what I mean - the first line of your last post was basically nonsensical. And yet you present a perfectly good peom. Which is odd.
-
you don't know what AABBCC is, right?
-
It's the rhyme scheeme. All the A lines rhyme, all the B lines rhyme. Hurrah for GCSE english, etc. And if you want one that rules, you want AABA with internal rhyming in B. Yes.
-
hey, neat.
and who cares about the queen's english, we all understand, right?
-
and who cares about the queen's english
DG. Because he is a native speaker, and he feels right to critize everybody's English within his sight of view. He knows that his grammar cannot be critized, because he is a native speaker.
-
Sigh...

You WERE/ARE critising.
-
No, I'm not having that. I've just re-read this thread and quite frankly I've not 'crtitisized' your english other that saying it's not perfect (which is a simple fact I'm afraid). Look, I'm not comming in here for an argument, I'm asking you how come - oh **** this. Time for lunch. You're a very hard dude to hold a conversation with, TA.
-
Maybe I am overreacting everything today. I got up with left leg this morning.
-
Fair enough. We all have days like that. By the left leg thing, do you suppose that corresponds with 'geting out of bed on the wrong side'?
-
yes, I meant that.
