An Egyptian name would be more suitable, I think.

still, it's cool (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Smoothed?

well, on dark ships like this one, smoothing is not really visible. I challenge anyone to tell that my Gaia isn't smoothed (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

no offence but it looks like whatever the PVT hope was.

Typhon class.
-
hey how bout the egyptian word for crocodile??? i'l look it up for ya cause i dont know what it is
-
Uh, how about the egyptian word for shark or fish? Might be better suited.
-

MUUAAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH HAMMERHEAD ROCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKSSSS hey dad help me out.
-
How about GVD Astarte or GVD Wepwawet? Both are Egyptian war gods and might work here. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
-
Okay, most of the Egyptian gods' names are taken, so let's make up an Egyptian-sounding name and say it was a lesser-known local god or something.
"GVD Nau-Hekesh"
As for the model, it's great. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) Good choice of skins, except the front. The light brown thing doesn't mix well with the rest of the color scheme, but other than that, it's ub3r-l33t (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
-
GVD. General Venerial Disease?
GVD Ammetoth
GVD Ahama
GVD Maola
GVD Huptet
GVD Lanama

Sweet! Revenge of the Typhon!
Can you give us an isometric view?
(on an angle where we can see the top,
front, and side) or maybe an untextured
version so we can see the model better?

Whadda ya know? the one of the only forums I rarely go into and its got the ship whose name I suggested. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)
I know since its Vasudan that it should be more Egyptian but Hammerhead was the first thing that I thought of when I saw it...

But go with whatever you want its your ship!
Wasn't the Astarte in FS2? Or was that some other sci-fi thing that I was thinking of that was the Astarte? Anyway I think the Astarte sounds better for a Vasudan...maybe for a Terran that would be good...like in StarCraft the Terran battleships (what were they called again?)

I can see it now. A battle against a small HOL battlegroup with two Typhons. On the otherside, some Hammerheads.
CLASH OF THE TYPHONS!

You might be thinking about the GVCv Asar. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif) There is no Astarte in FS2 to my knowledge.
GVD Wepwawet
(http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/lol.gif)
That sounds a bit weird, doesn't it? I think I put this name in for some gas miner or something like that in my campaign anyway. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

You know, that's a fantastic name for a mission in my Vasudan campaign in the works. I'll give it a shot.

Hehe. I like GVD Astarte, although it sounds much more like a possible Terran ship name. I still like Nau-Hekesh. Meh (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)
-
Hey, was that ship released?
If yes, can you tell me where can be found?
-
Yeah, I like the Astarte as well. Awsome ship design. So of course, I'd like to put it to good use. But before people get up, I was thinking of using it in the T-V War Project as a pre Typhon class Destroyer. If you like that idea, let me know here or in the Recruiting thread for the project or by PM. Sweet ship.:D
