RUN! IT'S THE SD LOTTA-POINTY-THINGS-STUCK-TOGETHER!!!
Muy bueno. Though it DOES look like a buncha pointy things stuck together.

i seem to recall someone telling me a model had to be one subobject in order for it to look good...bob, take a look at this, you were saying?

What is the scale of that thing? (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
-
Its a cruiser
-
Looks like a fighter. And those textures need some serious de-jumbling... from most camera angles you can barely tell what shape it is.

It has a SHAPE????
On a second look, looks vaguely like a factory defect while trying to make a Ravanna. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

"i seem to recall someone telling me a model had to be one subobject in order for it to look good"
I said it needs to be one subobject for the game engine not to mangle it,
and you're point was what,
this doesn't look much like anything

Oh? Volition must be surprised to hear that.

why?!

Because non of the FS1/2 ships are smooth (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) there smoothed in the game but not smooth (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

I thought none of those pointy things like this ship haves. or front is so unfighter (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
-
shape doesnt matter in space..
no air resistance to be worried about...
-
Still people dont seem to like angular designs, which really are the most practical.
-
I like this ship, but somehow, it screams "Terran" to me, dunno why.

REALLY GOOD! even though, its true that you can't really tell its shape. I think it looks Shivan, and definetly cool

The Shivans won't be defeated with this on thier side.....
Just remember: the Shivans are never defeated.

Damn straight, large ships look more realistic too.:)

The laws of physics still apply though, a ship can still be ripped apart if it accelerates or turns. Shape does apply, it doesn't need to be aerodynamic though :)
