The Styx was the first thing I ever finished. I'm tempted to go back an redo it now that Bob has raised the poly limits. :)
That said it does actually look much better in game.

That ship in front of the blue planet with the split hull in the front looks awfully familiar. Where'd it come from?

Blimy. I have a split hulled ship that would look very natural alongside that one. Nice pic. :)

That's the GTCv Nike by Psycho (of course its designation is different in MindGames). I think I found it on F2S originally. I did actually put it up for download at one point cause a few people wanted it while F2S was down. You may have seen it then.

Aha. :) As I said before, this render really is very nice - the highlights for me being the soft light quality and the perceptive application of motion blurs on the two interceptors. It is a bit of a slip to have such an uninteresting ship featuring so prominently (middle, right-hand side, the brick-looking one), but the excellent sense of depth makes up for it. Another good thing is the harmony of colours, the blue cast over the entire render - just don't do it too often (gets very boring very fast, trust me). Very nicely composed - I could poke sticks at this being exceedingly boring and the very typical patrol render, which is basically an excuse to render ships without anything actually happening, but it's executed perfectly. So, well done. :)
