You've got it all wrong. It's not a spam for breast enlargement. Some girl called Susan wants you and she's convinced she will have bigger boobs than anyone else in your life

I seriously wonder who these spammers think they're going to reach through these things. *sigh*

If 0.01% of people reply or some stupidly small number like that, they make money.

If 0% of them reply they make money.

All they get paid for is to send the ads out to as many people as possible. It's the companies whose motives should be questioned.

And all this kind of stuff increases the company profile. If you keep seeing "Free sex-vids on DailyRedHeads.com" 500 times a day in your Inbox, when you begin to talk about your disgust at the spammers you will say "Man, I hate all this DailyRedHeads.com crap" and the person to whom you are talking might actually care enough to visit/sign-up.

See, I just did it in that last paragraph. And I'm betting at least one person goes and tries to access that domain/site. So it obviously works.

I'm starting to get tired of these emails too... I'm getting them with the first letter starred so that spam blockers don't figure it out...

"*uckin teens"

and crap like that... really annoying...  I don't even know how they got this address, unless it was HLP selling it...

What are you inferring?

The way they figure out your email adress? They combine random letters and numbers with a known domain name, and then the bots spam their silicon hearts out.

I once got bombed with 17 virus mails with vague subject lines, each from a different source, with dates and times that were practically identical.

some bloke keeps mailing me saying a wealthy relative died in some Air Korea flight 51/2 years ago and US banking laws only allow my unclaimed riches to remain unclaimed for 6 years.
Well, first it was 6 years, then he mailed again and said 7 years.
Get your story straight fool !!

You could just Con them back (http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/archive/31270.html) like the guy on that link did. One of the funniest things I read in a while cause as far as I can see it was perfectly legal :D
