Title: Nurbs and truespace?
Post by: Taristin on October 05, 2003, 04:36:52 pm
Would anyone care to tell me how I cn convert to nurbs, and maybe how to smooth out sections of hull using it? I want to smooth my Kurruk, and anuket models, but I don't know how to use it, yet. Thanks.

nurbs will smooth out the entier model, you generaly have little controle over what it does, it will use all the points and polys in you're model as controle points for a spline based model of the ship, it is often described as melting the object, as all points and hard edges diapear,

recompileing a model is just as tedius and time consumeing as makeing a new one, just without all the fun of makeing new stuff

well then to smooth your model you need to use the sub-division surfaces tool.

So select the blocky edges and do smooth quad divide on them? Ok.
