Title: Be Honest: End of SOC 2 Loop
Post by: SuperCoolAl on October 08, 2003, 01:07:14 am: Did you jump at DIVE DIVE DIVE, collide with the Sath or get fried by the nebiros' beams, or did you do it ok in your almighty mara?

Post by: Ulala on October 08, 2003, 01:35:56 am: I was talking to my friend while I was waiting for the mission to load, and almost fell outta my chair from jumping at the "DIVE DIVE DIVE!!.." that Snipes yelled. Of course the SJ rammed my fighter into space dust.. but I didn't let it happen again... until I tried the second time and dove into the Sath. Eventually I got it right! :nod:

This resulted in me not so much being surprised as just sitting still trying to figure out what was going on to link it with what I had heard previously.

Needless to say, I stayed still for a little longer than I should have. :p

The Sath missed me. That mission was easy....

Post by: TopAce on October 08, 2003, 11:41:26 am: I survive the Sathanas at the beginning. But somehow(and I know why) I cannot remain hidden. I tend to open fire the first time I see a Shivan fighter.

I am typically: 'Come, face-to-face bugs!'-type pilot. Alpha 1 hasn't received espiionage training :)

My Ship, My Pants and my coffee-soaked Keyboard did not last long :(

T-Man was destroyed by colission with SJ Sathanas

T-Man: HEY! I havent insured this thing! (explodes)

I survived but it was a hairy mission with so little hull left (can't remember the value). I seem to remember hanging back whenever I could and letting Snipes and the team do the dirty work.

Post by: redsniper on October 08, 2003, 09:56:51 pm: I was already kinda pumped because of how tense the briefing was so I manged to react fairly calmly to the DIVE DIVE DIVE part. and I lived through the whole mission on my first try. Although I did get pretty scared when that Ravana jumped into the node with me.

The second time I tried flying out of its path towards my wingmen. I collided and was trampled.

The third time I cheated and turned a 180 and flew beyond the portal. It worked like a charm.
