This includes movies, games, shows, etc.
I cant choose just 1, Id have to say GTF Ulysses, X-Wing or Pyro GX from Descent.
-
Obviously, it must be one of my designs. Or maybe Venom's. Either a Naga or Venom's Ezechial. :D
-
So many to choose from..I'll have to think about this for a while. For now, its the Atlantis from Unreal 2; man that ship was pretty freaking sweet.

-
Either an ISA Whitestar or SJ Sathanas
-
GTD Raynor, hands down.
Of course, I'm kind of partial to the Earth Directorate fighters as seen in Buck Rogers from back in the 80s.
-
1. Pyro-GX, from Descent 2,
2. Phoenix, from Descent 3,
3. Terran Battlecruiser, from StarCraft
-
the Arcadia, from the Harlock series.
-
EA Warlock
Minbari Sharlin
Ranger Whitestar
Enterprise NCC-1701-A

Gets my vote too.

I've always had a soft spot for Dark's GTF Apollo Mk. II. :)

Two words: Vic Viper.
-
darn. that looks like my ezechiel, but better :doubt:
"throws himselfs from a bridge"
That said, that smells a lot like it can transform into a robot :p
-
AdPat and Nova Cruiser from IW2.
A bunch of the OTT ships
GTD Orion. gives a nice sense of power
Vampire from WCP
Rheinland Battleship - FL
Rheinland Valkyrie
Bretonian Paladin. FL:New Universe mod
EA Starfury
-
Wow. I feel kinda good that someone listed the Raynor. That was a great community project.
Venom, I know how you feel about the Vic Vyper. I never saw a picture of it from that angle before and it just happens to match up with a concept i threw together for a Terran/vasudan hybrid fighter a couple of months back, only, you know, the Vyper looks better. It does NOT transform by the way.
And Phreak's right: the Advanced PatCom is one of the lovelies ships ever to grace the Void in any medium.
-
my favouites (well, the ones I can think of)
Battle Star Galactica (and the Vipers)
Dropship from "Aliens"
the Ravana design drawing (FS2 credits)
plus about a million others I can't remember right now....
-
I've always liked the beautiful ugliness of the Somtaaw command ship.
-
The Pierson's Puppeteers General Products Hull #4.
What?
-
Why the #4? Admittedly it was only vulnerable to large amounts of antimatter but so were the #1-3

It can. This is the Vic Viper from Zone of the Enders 2. I'll grab a link here...
http://www.konamijpn.com/products/zoe2/english/leo.html
Edit: Mik, you're half wrong here. The traditional Vic Viper does not transform. However, for this game, the producers (working at Konami of course) decided to bring Vic Viper into play. Not *the* Vic Viper, but rather a ship that was similar to the Vic Viper, and fit the story-line well enough. It's really pretty damn cool. It has the twin lasers, ripple laser, missiles, options, and the two-orb shield. ^^;;;;

[color=66ff00]Phlosten paradise, USS dauntless, Enterprise A, silverfox fighter I designed :)

-
tie fighter/interceptor (really a true original design)

klingon's battleships and enterprise A
battlestar galactica

Because the #1 and the #4 are the only perfectly spherical ones. And the #1 isn't an option because it's only the size of a basketball.
-
1. GTF Apollo
2. GTF Ezechiel
3. Those triangular ships from Titan AE
4. EASD Nemesis
5. PVD Typhon
6. EAD Tereus

At the mo, probably the Prometheus from SG-1. Largely because I don;t watch much sci-fi (actually, that's the only one i watch :) ), and a;lso cos it has the chunky industrial aesthetic I like. :)
Also the carrier type ship from Aliens (Sulaco, I think) - though I don;t fully remember that one.
-
I've got a serious weakness for the dropship from Aliens. I'm also fast developing a thing for S:AAB's UEF destroyers.

then you must see the ships from starship trooper: roughnecks, gonna love the ships ;)
-
The Sulaco is awesome. Somebody needs to mod that thing (me, if I can figure out GMax :D). Also, the GTD Orion - it just looks 'ard as nails. Ooh, and the tall thin mothership from homeworld (don't know the name, just looks cool). I don't watch sci-fi, mainly 'cos it's nearly all badly-acted crap, so I can't really comment on anything from the genre. Other cool stuff is the big-ass starship from Unreal 2 (the one that hits the star at the end), the Space Marine Battle Barge from BFGothic, and the Venom gunship from the PS1 game G-Police.

The YF-19 from Macross Pluss.
BTW all Veritech would be a joy to fly (if you managed to learn all the 52 different control devices :D )

I actually had models (plastic kits) of the APC, Dropship and Suloco.
the Dropship in particular turned out quite nicely.
YF21 v YF19 , could never decide which one was better....

besides it has no lods, no debris, no thruster flame meshes, and isn't even smoothed; was my second FS2 pof ever, first one being...:

:p ( funny how I could post the same ship twice during the same day, when I didn't have any reason to even think about it for two whole years :p )
-
The Deimos
the dropship-thingy from the Final Fantasy movie
The Perseus
And the F-15 and the A-10 :D

Gotta be cliche here and say
The Millenium Falcon, fastest hunk o junk in the galaxy ;)

A sweet Japanese battleship, the Yamato. This thing was one of the biggest battleships ever (the other is its sister ship, the Musashi) with 18.1 inch guns. :D
For sci-fi, I quite like the Swordfish from Cowboy Bebop.

Anuket!

Sweet variable geometry Vic Vyper. Tres Sweet. :D
How could I forget the GUNSTAR?! Damn. :D

The Prometheus is alright, but the Asgard mothership is just... serene, you gotta admit. :D
(http://www.gateworld.net/omnipedia/ships/a/graphics/asgardmothership.jpg)
Not to mention the O'neill!
Ahhh, I love Stargate. The season 6 finale and season 7 premiere just aired last night... damn.
-
My favourite plane has to be the B-1B 'Bone'. Possibly one of the world's most deadly aircraft, if loaded correctly.
After all, it is capable of carrying air-to-air missiles... it just doesn't normally.

Heheh, you got that right, Jack. You know, Anubis' mothership doesn't look too bad either. ;)

Isn't it B1B lancer?

Bone is the colloquial, Lancer is the official designation. :)

Damn..forgot that one. also on the subject of dropships (surely the coolest thing in sci-fi?), the military one from that final fnatsay movie.

Badger class Starfury is and will always be my favorite ship.

I flew one in X-Plane (not sure which, but it was red). I realised quite how *****ing it was when I found my self passing 400'000 feet and still accelerating. Killed myself on re-entry, natch :D
Oh, and
(http://www.lcusd.net/pcy/rockets_published/home.isscv.jpg)
-
a B1 flew at the cleveland air show a few years ago. it did a nice flyby at mach .9
-
well I saw a B2 at le Bourget :)
-
Meh, I have a B2 fly over my house at low speed/low altitude every year. Impressive in what they are, but not too much to look at. I also like in a corridor used for flight training excercises, so I see all kinds of helicopters and planes flying around all the time. I guess that makes me sort of unimpressed by the "I've seen..." response.
Oh, and the Sulako rocks
-
well, there's as much to see as with any other planes. and yeah, I'm in an international military corridor too, so I get to see lots of planes and helos. Not that I stay at my windows all day long in hope I'll see some tiny black shape going by very fast :p
-

Bah, this is still the greatest ship ever except for the Apollo:

Yeah, the 'Beak' is pretty cool too. I have to say that I like all three big bombers: the Bone, the Beak and the Buff. They've all got fairly strong 'doomsday' connotations though, which is a pity.

one of my favorites

Vaygr Destroyer from HW2.
It is one of the strangest and coolest looking ships ever.
And you can't put shame on the Vaygr Battle Cruiser!
...as you can possibly tell...I got HW2 last weekend, and haven't played anything else since...well...other than a few games of SC...
...btw...can anyone send me a saved game for the starting of mission 5? I can't beat M04...ticking me right the **** off...pardon my swearing...alot of people can back me up on this, Mission 4...is the devils mission...it can go well, and it can go wrong...terribly wrong...talk about 10 Assault frigs, and 15-20 Heavy Missile frigs...
...sorry for derailing the thread...tis late...

I do agree with the Vaygr destroyer being one of the more unique out of the standard space-opera fare of ships:

As for mission 4, Pulsars and Torpedo Frigates are your friend. Try to keep the enemy occupied with the Pulsars while you do a long-range bombardment on their shipyard. Using platforms as decoys also helps.
