Yeah, and they're not using 60's technology I imagine. Plus they're the 3rd to go, so they us and Russia have done all the leg work for them practically.
I'm proud of them.

China has always rather amused me. In the late 1400s over a millenia ago, even got up into the 1600s about 800 years ago, become isolationist and froze, and weren't aware that the world had surpassed them until the Opium War with Britain :)

Simple: pride. The Chinese had the best medieval weaponry for centuries, invented gunpowder, had their culture developed for millenia - and they thought themselves better than everyone else (I should know). Of course, that kind of foolishness is what the Japanese learnt from.

You can only achieve so much when you've got no natural resources, I suppose... :nervous:
