Title: FS2 end user licence
Post by: HotSnoJ on October 11, 2003, 04:04:52 pm
I need to get a reference for a friend of mine who doesn't believe me that you can make copies of FS2 for friends.

Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Show them the EULA that comes up when you're installing.

Here you go. :) (There's more, but this is the important part)

So long as you don't charge for it, it's legal.

Thanks steak. I did run the setup and got it. I was hoping I didn't have to dig out the CD's, but I did. :sigh:

If anyone is interested I have a full copy of the licence with bold text about the sharing part.

Welcome. I had it on hand, because I've distributed quite a few copies of FS2 for my friends, and they usually said to me, "Since when did you start burning illegal CDs?!". So I had to provide an explanation. ;)

Btw, HotSnoJ, go check your render thread.
