Anyone seen this movie yet?
Good movie, i think the gore was played out too much though. i mean, blood spraying 10 feet when someone's stabbed? that's pathetic. i can see that happening maybe if, like, the head's cut off... maybe but the times people were stabbed by tiny swords, and blood sprays across the room? pathetic.
remember kids, this is not spoiling the movie in any way for people that haven't watched it yet... you can pick this information up from watching the trailer or visiting the website.
story was good... a little hard to understand at first, but easy and good in the end. music was OK, acting was very good... gore =... not in the extent it was showed in this movie anyway

I heard that its like in 3 parts or something. Has the first part come out already, or is this the first one?
Basically, if I see Kill Bill (the one currently airing) will I get the full story, from the beggining?
-
there's going to be at least one more, cause they said "volume 2" or whatever is coming out in February...
i only saw the first one (which is out in theaters over here at the moment)

You know a movie will be horrible when the commercial makes you change the channel. I'm serious, i've heard of low-budget but come on, this is the worst under-cooked-piece-of-tripe i've ever seen.
Never have liked Q's movies.
And the spraying blood was courtesy of fire extinguishers full of fake blood. Not even enough money for cow's blood...pittiful.

You realize, of course, that the fire hoses of fake blood, hundreds of severed limbs, and all the crazy kung-fu action was intentional.
Tarantino's like that. He's an incredible movie buff, so he's making movies that are meant to be movies. He had plenty of money so everything he did was for a specific effect. Some people will say it's in bad taste; au contraire. It is ABOUT bad taste.
Those of you who may know a lot about the environment he grew in (seeing as most of us are teenagers, probably not a lot) will understand that everything here is intentional. You're not supposed to take it seriously! Q says this is 'a movie movie' and he's right. Don't go expecting a cinematic masterpiece with a compelling story, or a brainless action flick. His movies are for moviegoers.
That said, I absolutely loved it. :D Tarantino's one of my favorite directors; he's got this way of taking common movie plots, characters, and situations, and turning them on their side. I think he's brilliant. I'm not going to discuss anything about it so as not to spoil anything, but it's the kind of movie where you either love it or you hate it.
A technical note: the only CGI used in the movie was to erase some of the flying wires used on the actors. That's it. No composite shots or green screens; that's much more than we can expect in today's cinema. Quentin knows what he's doing.
KABOOM!

You're sure?
There was one part where one of the crazy 88 had his arm cut off, fell down with "blood" spraying from his arm, but none of it seemed to hit the camera...

maybe they did that scene over and over again until none of the blood hit the camera?

I've read a few reviews, of mixed opinion. Apparently the film suffers from a lot of pointless scenes- such as the fight between one of the 4's sidekicks (is this lucy lu?) which takes so long it makes the proper showdown seem insignificant.

1) i'm sure it was intentional, i'm sure blood didn't spray out by "mistake"...i just thought it was stupid
2) there wasn't muchthat required CGI scenes or anything... i mean it was pretty straightforward acting... no "matrix" style bullet-time, no fighting on water (Hero), etc. it was an acting movie, no special effects (other than blood spraying across the room which in my opinion was so exhaggerated it was cheesy)

yeah, but just because he has money to make it doesn't make it a good movie... i still think it was taken to an extreme... a good story, but badly presented.

my friend said that Kill bill is awesome when he called to me today
-
yeah. i agree it was a very good movie... but the gore was a little too much ;)

Track 9 (Battle without Honor) of the soundtrack, I think.
