Try doing it yourself.
The only way to learn is to mess around with the various available tools(PCS, FRED).

Ooo! I get to shoot him!
:welcome:
Exits are to the rear, flamethowers are under the seats and if you see a dark shape in the air vent, that's not my cat, Carl, it's our resident Shivan, Carl.

Yeah, I named my cat after our loveable, not so fluffy Carl!:p :D

Welcome, aldi. Someone will probably convert it eventually - Woomeister, for example, is pretty prolific with his models, especially half-completed ones. ;)

Could you refrase that?
if you mean that you see the names of the texes, but they are not displayed in the model, you should convert the textures to PCS and tell modelview were to find them.

Aldi mate, track down karajorma and find the link to his FAQ. It'll help you get started with models and stuff

I guess a post will help him track me down. :)

Aldi. The problem is that the textures are in a different format from the one Freespace (or modelview) like. The easiest solution is to get hold of Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/) and use the batch convert options to change the files into the .pcx format.

Could you use some periods?

I think that may be because I renamed the texture names to be under 8 characters - 3ds files can only use DOs format names, otherwise the rest gets stripped away and it's hard to Id the right textures in Truespace.
