Title: n00b model conversion problem
Post by: Lynx on October 20, 2003, 07:31:19 am
I've modeled a capship in TS 5 and converted it to FS2. It is just an untextured model without any pof data right now, just to test if FS likes it. But ingame, the model is transparent. Is it always like this with untextured models, or went something wrong? I converted fighters before and had none of this problems, though the fighers already had textures. PLZ help!

I usually test my capships too before texturing them.
They are always transparent. I think thats normal.

if it hasn;t got no textures, it's transparen't AFAIK. try giving it a single colored texture for testing.

Hmm... I'm impressed the game will even run a model with no textures. I'd have expected it to throw a wobbly instead...

With HTL, the model was invisible.

Keranos, nice try;) It is another model of mine, You'll see it when I'm done with it(Could be some time, though, I have tons of stuff for WCS to do). I say just two words: Light Cruiser:D
