An "oh ****" moment: The mighty dreadnaught BSDn Ryujin opens a big can o' whoopass on the SID MacArthur (off screen). The Ryujun and the Benkei fighters are by Venom, the Phoenix that the player is flying and the Raptor bomber at the top of the pic are by Aldo, and the beam glows are by the TBP guys. (click for bigger picture)
NOTE: The last picture is from an actual playable mission, which is completed except for the debriefing, which has a couple of bugs in it.

those ships look cool
-
Anyone else think that warp hole looks a little funny?
-
Impressive
-
A bunch of ships done by other people that we've already seen... yay.
And the warphole is the SCP one.

Those ships loo really nice.
I especially like the look of the SIF Talon.
Cheers!

Ditto Knight Templar

Hey, there's one of mine!
Hey Woolie, you know the Tereus and the Ryujin are, for all intents and purposes, the same model don't you? If they are in the same fleet, then fine. But if they are in different fleets then there is some serious overlap in technology and design ethos.
-
Yeah, I intended the Ryujin in Starforce to be a modified Tereus in the hands of a rebel faction, but it turns out that the Ryujin is around 4km long while the Tereus is around 2.5km. Therefore, I'll need another explantion for this

.... or a different model? :blah:

The tereus is not the same as the ryujin, even if it was supposed to be the original one, coz woomeister converted and gave it his own weapon configuration. So the ryujin was a large carrier ship with little offensive power, while the tereus is something like an assault destroyer or something.
-
Then what was supposed to be the Tau Imperium's destroyer or dreadnaught class? I made the Ryujin an assault dreadnaught by slapping on several BF* (7 in total) and AAA (3 in total) beams.
-
the raiden was the heavy assault caship of choice for the Tau, and had the most powerful weapon you can find on any OTT ship.
there was no dreadnaught in OTT, nor any juggernaught ( save for shivan ones, of course ).
-
The Raiden is still pretty good against caps with two BBlues, although it won't kick the asses of ships five times its size like it could in OTT.
-
it didn't have any beams in OTT ;) ( tau didn't use beams )
besides, the thing is quite large, if you haven't noticed :p.
-
All your caps are large. The Dainishi was so huge I explained its bulk by making its front section a cargo pod.:p
(Oh dear, I hijacked my own thread:lol: )

Ain't that the Vasudan bomber from FS1, retextured?
-
It is indeed a reskinned Amun.
-
Pretty good job.
-
I didn't make it, but I tabled it appropriately.
-
that's the hunter, from... her... Zarathud.
I know, I were to use it in my Descent campaign.
-
Yeah, that reskin is prehistoric. ;)
Very nice mods, WW, but while they're very nice, those screenshots are kinda pointless. :nervous:

Not a problem man. I just wanted to let you know. I once got some temp hosting from someone here and had to give some credit. So I'm just making the HLP world go 'round. ;)
-
Yeah, but I'll probably need some real high-bandwidth hosting for Starforce when it's complete. I don't think you want me uploading 100MB music VPs to that account.
-
well I have 30GB's transfer a month, and am currently using 1% of 500MB's space.
Maybe if you compress it _really_ good I'll see.
-
I recognise some ships also (especially that big ship firing the beams, I never got around to using that from a model dump.) but that shouldn't take away from what you are trying ot do... I thought it was a surprising reaction from some of the "old Guard" here, something I would expect from a newer person... (like me  )..
Keep plugging away WW, I look forward to trying this out when you're ready for releasing it.. best of luck in finishing...
