These are all the models that Ancient Angel (from SFCIII anime mod tem) has released to me for my helping them.

     Unfortunately something is wrong with my copy of 3dexploration and I can't see poly counts ect... Plus the patch got deleted after my HD crashed and when reinstalled it now has 3 days left :nervous: ...

   I converted them from Obj files to .cobs but they crash in PCS , half just hard crash, others say stack overflow... anyway this is a quick render (all I have time for the next week or two) till I get my 3de troubles fixed, deal with work, and military stuff. If this can't get a modler excited enough to lend a hand I dunno what will ???

  I need someone to look at these files and tell if they have intersecting pollies that can be reduced/eliminated, as well as poly count and possible subobjecting, also you can see some minor texture problems left unresolved... However these models are excellent in appearance and cover a good range of the REF ships needed... :cool:

Now all I need is some more new Zent ships/armors, and of course the INVID (organics, inorganics, battle cuisers and clam ships) and basicly the models will be done. (except for certain HERO units from the other races of The Sentinels (Like Breeti's armor, ect..)

Every now and then, I get the urge to model the old Zentraedi version of the Garfish. Now I guess there's no real point.

Very nice. :)

Mind you, the photo is a bit too small for me to give any input on - I can't stop any problems, but then I usually don't anyways.

Ya know the ole SDF-1 looks out of place in that pic.   The three on the left are definitely the best in the bunch.

From the amount of...stuff you post SD, surely by now you'd have more than enough for at least an entry level TC for something... I know you want to develop some kind of multiverse or something - are you even getting close yet?

Do you have a count for all the stuff you have?

I mean, if you take all the  models you have, straighten them up a bit, the rest of the conversion should be REALLY easy!!

So, please take the time and count them. Tell us how many there are...

Indeed, where are all these sweet mesh and texture jobs disappearing to? :)

put them (the cobs) up somewere and I'll see if I can get them to convert, this looks like it would be great for cell shadeing (unfortunatly cell shadeing currently isn't suported by HT&L, I do plan on adding suport as one of our first vertex shaders)

Okay this is how one of those ships are to look like. Let me know what format you need them in and I'll get the textures corrected so you guys can use them.

I have hundreds of meshes for all sorts of projects now from my vast internet searches... main problem is I AM NOT a modler! I can only bounce around from project to project as I find models that will convert with little fuss (like the HW2 fighter I mangaed to convert though 90% of them won't till a modler can fix the geometry of the rest)...

  They just sit on my hard drive in what ever format I found them in cause to convert to cob sometimes parts of the mesh dissapear and then it becomes useless...

 So I need people who know abut lightwave of 3ds where teh meshes stay intact and can work on them to make them convert to .cob intact! hard to explain you have to see it for yourself.. Textures usually are NOT a problem at all. it;s the models themselves..

Well since the last time we ran across each other I have expanded some of my work.

I went back and fixed a few things that have been bothering me with the Ikazuchi Command Carrier and another guy told me about the Icarus Command Carrier which could be found here: http://www.steelfalcon.com/TIW/icarus.shtml

Yeah that Alpha fighter turned out nice and I have blank textures for that one so it can be done up in different colors, base and squadron #'s also. The Beta in the picture isn't textured yet, it finally got its uv mapping and base line textures put in place about two weeks ago. Now its time to go back and wheather her down, then start coloring her in.

Which reminds me, the Beta fighter and for the most part the Alpha fighter is using 512 by 512 .bmps' for textures is that going to be an issue? I think the Alpha has 3 Bmp's and the Beta is using some where around 5 at the 512 by 512 size.

I've noticed with several conversions from cob my normals go all screwy. This is relatively simple to fix though - just a matter of flipping the normals manually in Max. If you have or can obtain a copy of Max, this'd probably be the simplest introduction the the program you're likely to get.

they should be moved on to one texture, I think one 1024X1024 should be fine for that
