First of all i didn't make these sounds all i did was extract and convert them from HW2 to the FS2 format. In my opinion the flak does actualy sound like flak instead of cornflakes crackling when you crush them.:)
anyway here are the files.
Download (http://www.swooh.com/premium/Darkage/sounds.zip)

Kinda.. flat.
-
Yeah, the actual explosion is rather flat. I like the launch sound though.
-
True, the launch sound is the coolest.
-
Any idea where I can find an archive of sounds I can listen through? I too hate the corn flakes of death.
-
Not that i know off.
Although it would be nice to have a online sound list for the FS2 sounds.
-
You know what game has good flak sounds? Wing Commander Armada.
(At least, that's what I'm told ...)
-
I've never had a problem with the FS2 flak sounds, with a good subwoofer they're very well done.
The flak launch sounds on the other hand, need help :)
WC Armada's flak sounds were good for the time, but they're all high end frequency, no good bass.
To be honest, I didn't like Cataclysm's flak sounds, they sound very subdued. Homeworld 2's though are pretty well done.

Uhhh, IIRC, Cataclysm didn't have flak.

That launch sound is great. Well spotted, buddy. :D

As in the sounds here taken from Cataclysm to be used as flak :p
-
erm...these sounds came from Homeworld2:D
-
How about another question. Are Unreal Tournament's explosions any higher rez than ours?
-
I like FS2's flak sounds. They sound like what they are, high speed concussion charge launchers. They're firing so fast that you can't here the whole sound of the firing because the next shot is firing. It's never sounded like crushed cornflakes, try getting a subwoofer.
