Brilliant! :D

One of Boeing's recent projects was to build a passenger liner that flew at mach 0.99. They abbandoned the project after realising that drag increases exponetially near the spead of sound.
The funny bit is, every Aerospace Engineering student is taught this in their first year. :ha:

It used to be X-303, now the class is designated BC-303. As in Battlecruisers. ;)

Thank you, Mr. Barni. ;)

Star Trek... wasn't funny. It's rather scary. The day they are seriously considering using ST designs, I will do something radical.

The nacelle design is well... lacking... yes... But the newer warships (see defiant) are way better :D If there were any continuing series I'd say that kind of compact design would come back.

Then call me, I'll come and help you.

that is SO cool .... when did the X-303 become the BC-303'???
-
Season 7. They're mining Trillium (or something) on an episode, to be used on the construction of BC-303s.

how do you mean new? look at B&B's latest ****up aka Enterprise, that ship was supposed to be new, but it's a modded Akula.
-
Akira.
-
Whatever it is, it's still not worth the effort.
It's what 100 years older than NCC-1701? Yet it looks 200 years newer...
-
and have you looked at that klingon ship in the ep were Trip got pregnant?
that was EXACTLY a D-7 AFAIK.
and the D7 should be brand new during Kirk's days.
-
in an interview with the production guy, he said that they had actually made a new klingon ship for that episode, but it wasn't finished in time, so they just stuck in a K'tinga model from DS9. (which is actually newer than the D-7)
-
nonono, that wasn't a K'Tinga, IIRC? a K'Tinga doesn't have the triangel above the bow, IIRC, that was D-7, K'Tinga had a much rounder head.
-
the K'tinga's shape is slightly different, and has much more detail. it was definitely a K'tinga.
-
It's an Akira suacer, upside down, with old style nacells on it......the Akiraprise....yay.
