IIRC that isn't too far away from the truth. I think the two will collide somewhere around 2 billion years from now.

Indeed, should there be any one around the witness the event, Andromeda will eventually come to fill the night sky. It'll look very pretty before it ****s everything in the Milky Way right up :nod:
