Where i can texsture this cruiser? I've try to do this in TS 5 but i don't know where.

Cruiser looks good but the fighter...something's wrong with it
Oh, yea, add, like, a big doohicky (like the thing hanging down from the hercs) to the top of cruiser, and it'll look cooler ;)

The cruiser is actually quite nice. It could stand to be more rounded in places (the engine pods are basically square and would look better rounded) but the overall shape is quite sweet.
The fighter is quite nice from the rear but I'm not so keen on the front end of it.

Fighter-
make the gun pods more 'egg' shaped with the blunt end pointing forward
add a ventral fin of some kind, kind of longish like the Herc 2's
lose most of the engine cowling in the back, there's just too much
Cruiser-
smooth the whole thing, it's too blocky, even for a Terran ship.
more guns, 9 guns is insufficient for a screening cruiser

Btw, if your intention is to make that ship a "light cruiser" the correct designation would be GTCL. Personally, I'd just leave it at GTC as the Fenris could be a light Cruiser yet doesn't use the more specific designation. Or the Lilith could be a SCA (heavy cruiser) but its not either.

Welcome to HLP, guys. Those are some nice meshes, c914 - use the search function, I'm 95% sure there's a tutorial on texturing in TS somewhere in this forum. :yes:

not realy, the way to texture in TS5 is to save the model and open it up in lith, do you're textureing there then save and open back up into TS

:) That's not exactly fair. But learning Lith would be a good thing to do :)

Originally, I projected that criuser (workname: Eris) as Chase Criuser (or Pursuit Criuser, short GTCC or GTPC), but i'm only author of model idea and 2D project, C-914 is creating it as a serious model [BTW-BIG THX:D]. More turrets are not neccesary, it is really light and fast construction. Ship was constructed for recon missions, fast attacks, and chasing enemy convoys. Criuser moodel that u can see on screenshot was done in less than 1,5 hour, so i think it's quite early version of it.:)

I must say that I wasn't too impressed with just the wireframe, but now that you've shown the Cruiser textured it looks pretty kicka**. Nice work. The yellow turrets you're referring to are probably Particle Turrets btw.

I like it very much! Can't wait to see it released.
Of course... some nut will prolly convince you to give it up for his campaign that will never be finished, and we'll then never get it...... hrmf

result is nice but you could have spent a lot more details, both for geometry and textures, expecially on the grey areas

Hmmm. 'Taint bad, not at all. However, if it were mine, I'd be putting some more detail, more... definition I suppose into the nose, and the engines. Perhaps some kind of small recess in the upper nose - micro fighterbay perhaps? Capable of holding probes, or a single wing of fighters? Even if it wasn't a bay at all - it just needs something to break up the monotony there. A similar situation on top of the engine blocks, though these arenl;t quite so bad as the nose, just something - a pair of stubby fins perhaps - to break it up a little.
Overall though, 'taint too shabby :)

Besides if you're making this ship for HT&L you can easily spend a couple of thousend polys on a cruiser so it's not like you need to hold back.

Since you both seem to be a modler and a texturer I could use some help if you are intersted???
I am working on teh Robotech II project and a few others and need some serious assistanc with the conversions of models I have alrady or to build some from scratch (like Invid)...
Here is shot of basicly the kinds of things I have (note the missing or temp textures used just to cover models to get general idea of fianl looks...

Defensive turrets. *defensive*
It has some real gaps in the defense grid that I can see just in the pic. But I guess it's all good.

A - I disagree with Lightspeed's comment, I think the brown texture looks quite good with the grey. Akin to the Hecate somewhat I believe.
B - as for Eviscerator's comment. The ship has 4 flak and 4 particle turrets, those are all defensive guns I'd think. And if it has flaws then good, its something for the player to either exploit or protect against depending on which side they're fighting.

ive got some problem with turrets ( 2 turrets )
when i set botom turrets in normal possison they fire backward:

It's hard to see from those pics but are those turrets on the bottom of the ship or on it's side? Side multipart turrets don't work in FS2. They can only work when on the top or bottom.
You may want to take a look at the turretting tutorial I wrote (it's in my FAQ). If that doesn't help post again and I'll take a look at it.

Looks nice enough for a first effort.
You'll probably be less happy with it once you've got a few more ships under your belt though (the same thing happens to most of us) :)

Err... Um... Ship is nice for a first go, but those Tech Descriptions ... needed work. I understand you're a non native english speaker though, so I did it myself (Well, me and the Word Spell Checker :p)
The GTC Eris is next-generation light cruiser, designed to replace the old Fenris class warships. With their thin of armour and poor weaponry, Fenris cruisers were unable to hold their own against modern Shivan warships. The GTVA lost over 80% of Fenris class cruisers deployed in Second Shivan Invasion. To replace these casualties, GTVA High Council decided to develop a new class of light cruiser. In 2371, first Eris-class warships were put into service. The Eris is very fast and versatile cruiser, armed with the newest weapons in GTVA arsenal. Its complement of Strike Torpedos and multiple heavy Flak cannons can quickly take down any hostile cruiser.
The GTC Eris R-class warship is a drastic refit of the standard Eris cruiser model, designed for deep recon missions beyond enemy borders. Though it has less firepower and lighter amour than the standard Eris Cruise, it compensates for these losses with an even greater top speed than the already fast Eris, and hull plating designed to minimize its profile to enemy sensors.
I think it's pretty faithful to what you were trying to say, just cleaner :). By the way, while I was in the tables I noticed that despite what the TDs say, the table stats for the Eris and the Eris-R are identical. You may want to change that.[/color]
