My specs:
Pentium 4 2.0Ghz CPU
512 mb of DDR
128 mb GeForce4 Ti4200
Is it normal, that I get about 10 fps out of Halo at 800x600?
-
nope...
But the game is a real resource hog.

Did that answer your question, Ash? :p
****, Windrunner beat me to it.
And yes, what I've heard Halo is real resource hog. Half-assed optimization for PC's variable hardware. Pray for good patches.

Hmmmm.... maybe we should hold off a little on DirectX9? Listening to general reports on Halo, these shaders need a little work before they start appearing mainstream? :)
Flipside :D

Right. I downloaded the Nvidia 52.16 drivers.
Now I get 40+ FPS, at the same settings.
400% perfomance improvement. Not bad.
