Title: I'm sure this has already been discussed a billion times but...
Post by: Nebfire on November 08, 2003, 07:31:57 pm
I finally managed to get all the VP files DL'ed and everything works great! Now, how (if it's possible) can I get FS2 running in 1024 x 768 (yes I have sparky_hi_fs2.vp)? Because I'm using the HOTU version, I have no entries in my registery, therefore it appears I can not use the FS_Open 3.5.5 and the Launcher. Is there a work-around for this?

Thanks all for the great work here,

use the normal FS2 launcher to set hi-res mode, it'll work if you have sparky_hi. Using the SCP launcher should work, too, though.

well freespace2.exe is the launcher and fs2.exe is just the game.  if you dont have the first, i'm sure someone will upload it somewhere

Thanks guys, I just discovered (remembered) that and gave it a try. It shows the 1024 x 768 x 32 option, but dosen't seem to make any difference. It still looks like 640 x 480 (as seen on the first training mission). I'll keep experimenting though.

Thanks again

OK, finally got FS_open_t working. Wow, FS2 is really look'n good these days compared to the original. Fantastic work everyone.
