For the past 60 minutes I've been working on improving the looks of my rendered ships and so I thought of adding some reflection and shine. I googled for about 45 minutes and found some tutorials and I mannaged to apply the knowledge I got, on this fighter.
Any suggestions?

Here is the ordinary picture without effects:

Copy paste the link if you can't see it.

would be easier if you also posted the link, so that one doesn't have to dig for it.

Right click on images and click properties.

403 prohibited
-
Then can you suggest a website where I can upload the pics so that everyone can see it?
-
NW, but, you being you, i'd try swooh.
-
I can provide some space if swooh is down. (e-mail me if you need it)

yeah, I know. but it would've been a step less if you had posted the link too.
anyway, is that pic without the effects you've put on?
-
The first pic is with the shine reflection effects and the second one is without effects.
-
Err... use shine?
Geocities image hosting will work, but you need to change your .jpg extension to a .txt extension.

okay, now this is odd. I can only see one pic in your original message.
edit: nm that, found the other one.
as for comments: pretty nice. maybe the cockpit should be a bit shinier

I agree but I couldn't do it better. I found some lame tutorial and it is not helping me alot. I just found very little information so I need a better tutorial on how to make ships shinyer, prefferably like in the SCP with shinemaps or better. I tryed using shinemaps but they don't fit in too well. Does anyone know of a good tutorial which may aid me?
Thanks

Mozilla, being way stupid ( thing that the people who told me it was the best browser ever forgot to mention ), completly removes any trace of a pic that won't show in a post, so not even an url is availble for me :(
Yup, I just have a blank space in your post :p

That's one of the serious problems with Mozilla, Venom. If you consider it a showstopper, file a bug in Bugzilla. If I had my way, that would be a user-configurable option.

Ok can someone please answer to my question? Please?
-
what program are you using?

What I would really like to do is to be able to make those shines taht V made for their ships in their Command Briefing anis like for Perseus, Myrmidon and such... Those ones rock. Oh and by the way...here's an update:

well, there should be a slider in the material editor that says glossiness or shine or something like that. every 3D package has it.

razor - like a real host..
it is beyond me why people still use geocities and alike
i used geocities seven years ago.. when it was new, and novel, and half way decent

swooh.
an0n.
if you'd go begging an0n, litterally begging in your case, you might get some space. but really, you being you, and all the history, just use swooh, or ask steak to set up something like an0n's thingy.
