Anyone ever done a BSG mod? Seems like it would mesh well with the FS2 game engine. And the initial core of ships would be pretty easy to put down (2 ships and 2 fighters, kablam! main units finished). I think I saw a battlestar in some MODing tutorial but I've never seen anything more about it.

IP Andrews was making one. Just to a search for Galactica using the well hidden search option and you should find it. Someone mentioned on a couple of weeks ago.

I should see that show some time.

I just went to find the link to the BSG mod and they rearrainged the website. In fact it my not be onlne anymore, or at least teh link to IPAndrews main file page... We may nee him to post the link again OR have someone who has it bookmarked to post it.
I am sure if you can be patient a little longer however, I know that IP Andrews is working on a base star to at least complete the basic mod. IT had a battlestar, cylon raiser, adn a viper for now...

Fortunecity deleted my zips. Because they suck. Alternatively you can get my effort via the http://www.battlestarfanclub.com/ multimedia page. Be warned though. It's small and rough. Like a dwarf. Killfrenzy is also working on a BSG mod. I'm not involved in what he's doing but I do know he's fairly talented.

Why, thank you! :D
Indeed, I am working on a BSG mod, salvaging what's usable from Ian's work whilst at the same time doing some tweaking to make use of a couple of SCP features, namely texture replacement.
An initial release isn't far off, as soon as I get a website sorted.
In the initial release:
- Colonial Viper
- Cylon Mk.IV Raider
- Weapons for both
- Sound effects
- Possible soundtrack, once I get my head around FS2's music system! :D
I may also put in the Cylon Tanker, but I don't know yet! :)
