Post by: Stunaep on November 11, 2003, 10:51:58 am
Yes, people, this is exactly what you think this is. A Halo screenshot thread.

Post pictures of fun, explosions, or general l33t|\|3zz.

I'll be taking some next time I play

It's a shame that the PC version of Halo is so poorly done, I was deeply looking forward to many late nights of multiplayer joy.

Oh well, just have to get my friends around and X-Box it.

Err.. what's wrong with it multiplaywise, other than not having co-op?

Only the problems that the PC version suffers from. Erratic frame rate and poor controls. I really want to love the PC version but it's like a mutant clone of the Xbox version but they gave it a shirt and tie to make it look a bit tidier.

Co-op can be a real laugh.
I've got a mag. article with some Gearbox fellow gushing some dribble about "Bunge and Gearbox are the same...blah blah...we will accept nothing but the best...blah blah...won't relase code till it's as good as it can be...blah blah"

so much for that eh?:blah:

Warthog jumping is ace. Co-operative, me and a friend, a big pile of grenades and a warthog. Managed to get on top of the Silent Cartographer from the beach.

erratic frame rate? Have you got the new Nvidia drivers? after getting them my framerate improved tenfold.

You know what's funny? The only picture anyone has posted is of Halo being uninstalled. And that was me.

Should I just lock this and get it over with? We already have one topic...

no, really not yet. I'm just getting into the swing of things.

Now if I could find the key that actually takes screenshots...

He means paste the screen capture from the clipboard into paint and save it.  Only difference is it's an actual screen capture, while the -screenshot command line may pause the game for extra processing when taking a screen to give a higher-quality image.

Yes. And if you don't like Paint...use Paint shop instead or even better photoshop. Just make sure you use the same resolution in PS so that it is the same res you use in the game. That's why I rather use Paint Shop because it automatically gives you the right res. You don't even have to open a new doc. to paste anything.
