Title: Design For the Future
Post by: Fozzy on November 14, 2003, 04:12:10 am
i was just thinking, in freespace 1 all the teran ships were very "cubic" designs, then in freespace 2 the teran ships were more vasudan and shivan than they were before. next i am thinking they will be even more rounded. more like shivan ships but insted of sharp spikes, soft spikes and angular curves.(persieus interceptor style on the cap ships)

what do you lot think the next generation of ships should be like, say 150 years after FS2.

Look in Aldo's model dump for the GTF Eos which was exactly that.  Very organic looking.  He also did some other neat vessels as well.

Hmmm, I dunno, Fozzy. :) To me, if they started turning any more curvy than they already are, they'd lose a bit of their Terranity (!) to me - since I kinda like the boxy Herc 1 and its brethren. ;) But I dunno, ships in the FS universe are hardly ever dictated by pragmatic reason, so they could start making pink-polka-dotted bubble ships for the next generation of destroyers - who knows. :D
