I'm working on this nifty covert ops mission for BlackWater Operations.
Anyways, a transport (GTT Elysium class) is docked to a strike cruiser (GTC Leviathan class). No mod ships are involved in the docking. In any case....when the Elysium goes to undock, it never relinquishes its docked state and when the Elysium goes to move the Cruiser suddenly jumps to its position and gets towed along with it.
Could someone else confirm that bug please.
I'm using fs2_open_e.exe.

This has happened to me even with original fs2.exe. I believe it was Argo and 'what was the GTA big installation name'. The Argo never undocked even if told to do so. Couldn't figure it out.

Docking has always been screwy at best. It's plagued me ever since I first fired up FRED2...

Have you tried issuing the undocking orders the other way round? (i.e ordering the cruiser to undock from the transport).
If not it might be worth a try.

I've found that giving the transport orders to undock from the cruiser and vice versa at the exact same time helps to reduce the chance of odd bugs in kosher FS2.
That or FS crashes miserably :) (just kidding on the crashing part)

Odd.
Maybe it's something messed up with the paths. Can you try it with the other side of the Leviathan?

Yeah iv had docking problems in missions till i gave both ships the orders

I'll try all of those suggestions.
I've never run into this in retail FS2. I have had docking troubles, but usually caused because I forgot to tell someone to undock.
Will try these things and report back ASAP.

Can you reproduce it in a separate mission? If so, I could try tracing through it to see what's going on.
